Firstly, hello - how are you? It has certainly been a while.
Some of you may be aware (some of you not), but I am on a bit of a sabbatical from the old socials. It has all been a bit too much, so I figured it would be good to have a break (I may write something about social media burnout as I have been reading up about that, but that might be when I return from my break).
However, despite being on a social media break, I am still focusing on podcast production and promotion and the behind-the-scenes work that goes into it. On that note, I had the pleasure of recording another live episode of The Uncommon Bloke Podcast with Calum last night.
And this is where your assistance would be very helpful…
While I know that I have been quiet on all fronts (here, Instagram, my own podcast, etc.), I have been working really hard on my other ventures (i.e., my co-hosted podcasts, Mansophere Debunked with Aileen - aka TinderTranslators for those who don’t know her as that - and The Uncommon Bloke Podcast with Calum). Both are doing well, and it has been lovely to receive feedback on both shows in different ways. However, with Uncommon being a bit newer, it needs a little more promotion.
Therefore, as loyal readers and fans of mine (and hopefully the work I do in general), it would be wonderful if you could take the time to listen to an episode of Uncommon (the latest episode is about the use of banter in male friendships). And, as it is aimed at men, if there are men in your life who you think would benefit from hearing any of the conversations Calum and I have had so far, please do share it with them.
You can listen on various platforms here.
It feels a little weird and uncomfortable to ask this of you (I have never been great at self-promotion), but at the same time, I want to get the word out more about Uncommon as I think it may be helpful (and possibly needed in some ways - and obviously I would think it is great as it is something I co-created).
So, if you could do me (and Calum, obvs) this solid, I would be majorly grateful. I can’t pay you back in any way other than to promise I will keep trying to make content that is helpful, accessible, and relevant in some shape or form.
Thanks as always, and I hope you have a restful evening (or day, depending on when you get around to reading this).
Best wishes,
Nice-ish.
