In the realms of social media it’s not uncommon these days to see “TI” or “trauma-informed” in the bios of those who run mental health, therapy, or psychological social media accounts.
After much aimless rambling I finally got the take-home, "just because you experience a trauma, doesn't mean you're traumatised!" I think this is worth further exploration.
Thanks for the freed back. Apologies about the aimless rambling, I guess. 😂 Regarding your other point, what would be helpful in terms of that being explored further?
That makes sense. I will have a think about that as an episode. I have got a post on my IG page that highlights some of that, if you’d like to go have a look in the mean time (it’s in a highlight called “Trauma”).
Your highlight on Trauma in IG was most helpful in shedding light on the process, particularly the resilience factors. All roads lead to examples in enabling the conceptualisation of something so complex and grey as Trauma.
Not sure if this is the place to discuss a tangent that can be related to the thesis of this thread but I’ll shoot anyway. What are your thoughts on Dr. Dick Schwartz’s Internal Family System? If this is not an appropriate forum, please suggest a more suitable one.

It needs nuancing! What would be really helpful is an example (or examples) of a trauma that isn't necessarily traumatising.

Glad you found it helpful. I might turn it into a podcast episode for further exploration. 😊
